The highlight of the third day was visiting the local market in Cancun which is called “Mercado” in Spanish. On the airplane going to Cancun, I read somewhere that bargaining is something necessary in Mexico. One should start with half the price the vendor is asking for, being ready to leave at anytime while bargaining, that is two important points to know. While we were walking around there, every vendor was asking us to go in and visit his/her store.
We also got the chance to walk around the area which helped us find a very good Mexican restaurant named “100% Natural”. There, they offered customers with lots of tips to eat healthy! Although I wasn’t planning to drink anything but bottle water in Mexico, I couldn’t resist ordering a drink from their menu, and I am happy that I did that because the smoothie was very good!
We finished the day by visiting the hotel zone, this time a different area near “La Isla” shopping mall (this place is aimed to remind you of Venice!) and the Luxury Avenue.

As I was craving steak that night, we tried to find a steak house but most of them looked to be a bit high-price! However, we ended up having our dinner at a very chic restaurant called “Harry’s”. What I loved about this restaurant, even more than the food, was the yummy bread which was accompanied by butters with 3 different tastes . The amusing waiter claimed that his grandmother has made those breads! Oh, and one thing that I saw for the first time there was short hangers for umbrellas and bags, something that helps people get rid of putting their stuff on their chairs!
To be continued…
